Is ChessTing completely free or unlimited?

ChessTing has a useful Free plan, but it is not an unlimited-free analysis service. Free has defined monthly Scout, Game Review and Self Analysis allowances while Learn is unlimited. Player Pro is optional for heavier use and additional depth.

Does ChessTing use AI to write Game Coach explanations?

No. ChessTing does not currently use an LLM or generative-AI chatbot to write Game Coach explanations. It combines Stockfish evidence with programmed chess rules, statistics, classifiers, evidence thresholds and deterministic explanation mappings.

Yes. ChessTing Learn includes guided lessons, tactical drills, Daily Puzzle, bots, Practice vs Player, Study Guide and Position Analyzer, while Game Review mistakes can become retry positions, quizzes, drills and training prescriptions.

ChessTing complements Chess.com and Lichess rather than replacing where you play. A game review explains what happened once; ChessTing also finds what keeps happening across your history and connects that evidence to preparation and training.

Accepted Answer

No. You can try public-player Scout and browser-based Game Review without signing in. An account unlocks connected and saved features, synced usage and Prep workflows.
